When to pick it

Use for simple text, icons, or animations when an OLED display is overkill.

About it

The Arduino Modulino LED Matrix features a 12x8 grid of single-color LEDs (96 total). Each LED can be individually controlled for displaying text, icons, scrolling messages, and simple animations. Uses a raw I2C protocol with 12 bytes per frame (1 byte per column, 8 bits per row). Ideal for status displays, simple graphics, and visual feedback in compact form.
