Adafruit I2C QT Rotary Encoder with NeoPixel
Rotary encoder carrier with an on-board NeoPixel and a seesaw microcontroller that counts the turns. The encoder itself is not included.
When to pick it
Budget encoder carrier for someone who will solder their own encoder.
Good to know
- Ships without the encoder — the board alone has nothing to turn.
- Shares its default address with modulino-pixels and the MAX17048 fuel gauge.
About it
A small STEMMA QT carrier for a standard 12 mm rotary encoder with push switch. A seesaw microcontroller tracks every detent and the switch, and exposes the count over I2C, with a NeoPixel that shines through the board beside the knob. The board ships WITHOUT an encoder soldered on: bring your own and solder it in.
Also bring
a 12 mm rotary encoder with push switch, soldered on

Facts
Tested
It is in our catalog, but nobody has checked it on a real board. It may not work yet. Its driver is written, but it has not been tested on hardware yet.
Board size
25.4 × 25.4 mm
The Seesaw Encoder board measures 25.4 × 25.4 mm and stands 1.6 mm tall with its parts. It has 4 mounting holes. These dimensions are from the maker’s mechanical drawing.
