Palpable vs Gemini

Gemini now designs printable hardware from a sketch. Palpable puts that kind of AI inside a working device: it knows your parts, runs them, and looks after itself. Prove it here first.

What you end with

PalpableA device that runs, with its own view in the app

GeminiFiles you then build with: code, a 3D model, board files

Your parts

GeminiReads the datasheet of any part you name

PalpableNo: boards you can buy. Prove the device here first

GeminiDesigns a 3D-printable casing from a sketch (Gemini 4 Argon); no board shown

After it works

Together

PalpableAny project can have its own API key for its live readings and variables

GeminiGemini can use that key wherever it can call a web API

When Gemini is the better choice

If you are designing a product’s own circuit board or case, use Gemini for that step. It reads any part’s datasheet, and Palpable does not design boards. It is also the assistant for everything that is not a device.

If you want the device in your hands this week, running and changing when you ask, prove it with Palpable first. When it works, a custom board can be designed around something proven.

Questions, answered.

Can’t Gemini already build hardware?

It can do steps of it. Google shows Gemini 4 Argon designing custom hardware from a sketch, ending in a 3D-printable casing. You still run each tool, buy the parts, flash the board and keep it working. Palpable does those steps for you with parts PAL already knows, and on Raspberry Pi and the Arduino UNO Q the device keeps running even offline.

Can I use Gemini with my Palpable project?

Yes. Any project can have its own API key that opens a live connection to its readings and variables. Gemini, or your own code, can read them wherever it can call a web API, and with a key that can control, change the variables. Signed webhooks tell any other service when something happens.

Do I need a custom circuit board?

Not to build the device. Palpable runs on boards you can buy, with plug-in parts. If you later need your own board for size or cost, it can be designed around a device that already works.
