Grove Temperature & Humidity Sensor (HDC1000 / HDC1080)
TI HDC1000 digital humidity and temperature sensor on a Grove board (discontinued; the register-compatible HDC1080 is recognised too).
Say it to PAL
“Tell me when the air gets too dry.”
The code PAL writes
p.onSensorChange('grove-hdc1000', 'humidity', (rh) => {
if (rh < 30) p.notify('The air is dry (' + rh.toFixed(0) + '%)');
});
await p.waitUntilStopped();When to pick it

Good to know
- Its on-chip heater is off; in condensing conditions humidity can read high until the film dries.
About it
The Grove Temperature & Humidity Sensor (HDC1000) carries a Texas Instruments HDC1000: ±0.2 °C and ±3 %RH at 14-bit resolution, with a readable device ID. Seeed has discontinued the board, but owners can still plug it in. The same module drives an HDC1080 breakout, which shares the HDC1000's register map, conversion formulas and address; the device-ID probe accepts both 0x1000 (HDC1000) and 0x1050 (HDC1080).
