Grove - 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer (±1.5g, MMA7660FC)
A small 3-axis accelerometer on a Grove board: it feels tilt, shakes and taps, at about 0.05 g steps.
Say it to PAL
“Tell me when it gets tipped over.”
The code PAL writes
p.onSensorChange('grove-mma7660', 'acceleration_z', (z) => {
if (z < 0.3) p.log('Tipped over');
});
await p.waitUntilStopped();Good to know
- Sensitivity varies ±8% between parts (19.62-23.04 counts/g), so 1 g may read between ~0.93 and ~1.09.
About it
The Seeed Grove 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer (±1.5g) carries an NXP (Freescale) MMA7660FC: three 6-bit acceleration readings over I2C at the fixed address 0x4C. Coarse, but enough to tell which way is up, whether something is moving, and when it is shaken.
