Grove Temperature & Humidity Sensor (High-Accuracy & Mini, TH02)
A small Grove temperature and humidity sensor built on the TH02 digital humidity chip.
Say it to PAL
“Keep a log of the temperature and humidity.”
The code PAL writes
const t = await p.read('grove-th02', 'temperature');
const rh = await p.read('grove-th02', 'humidity');
p.log(`Temperature ${t} °C, humidity ${rh} %`);When to pick it
A simple temperature/humidity reading where ±0.5 °C is enough.
Good to know
- Humidity accuracy is ±4.5 %RH; do not alert on changes of a few percent.
About it
The Grove Temperature & Humidity Sensor (High-Accuracy & Mini) v1.0 carries a TH02 capacitive humidity and temperature sensor (±0.5 °C, ±4.5 %RH per the Seeed wiki). It answers at 0x40 with a readable ID register (0x11 = 0x50), so Palpable can tell it apart from the other parts that share that address. Each reading runs a temperature and then a humidity conversion and refuses to publish if the chip reports a conversion unfinished.

Facts
Tested
Its driver works. We have not signed it off on a real board yet.
I2C address
The Grove Temperature & Humidity Sensor (High-Accuracy & Mini, TH02) answers at I2C address 0x40. The address is fixed.
Board size
40 × 20 mm
The Temp & Humidity board measures 40 × 20 mm and stands 6.8 mm tall with its parts. It has no mounting holes. These dimensions are from the maker’s mechanical drawing.
