Arduino Modulino Thermo
Measure temperature and relative humidity. Suited to environmental monitoring or HVAC control.
Say it to PAL
“Tell me when it gets too warm.”
The code PAL writes
p.onSensorChange('modulino-thermo', 'temperature', (tempC) => {
if (tempC > 30) p.notify(`Temperature alert: ${tempC.toFixed(1)}C`);
});
await p.waitUntilStopped();“Keep a log of the temperature and humidity, at most once a minute.”
The code PAL writes
let last = 0;
p.onSensorChange('modulino-thermo', 'temperature', async (tempC) => {
if (Date.now() - last < 60000) return; // temperature has no deadband - throttle here
last = Date.now();
const rh = await p.read('modulino-thermo', 'humidity');
p.log(`${tempC.toFixed(1)}C, ${rh.toFixed(0)}% RH`);
});
await p.waitUntilStopped();When to pick it
Cheap temperature + humidity for comfort and environmental monitoring. Choose it when the board is already an Arduino Modulino chain. Prefer the SHT40 when you want the tighter +/-1.8 %RH humidity figure, or the TMP117 when you need lab-grade temperature.
About it
The Arduino Modulino Thermo carries a Renesas HS3003 relative-humidity and temperature sensor (ABX00103 datasheet, section 7.5: "HS3003 0x44"). Intended for environmental monitoring, weather stations and HVAC applications.
