SSD1306 OLED Display Family
SSD1306-based monochrome OLED displays for text, numbers, and simple graphics. The most common I2C OLED controller, available from many manufacturers in 128x32 and 128x64 resolutions.

About it
The SSD1306 is the most widely used OLED display controller IC. Available from virtually every electronics supplier in 0.91" (128x32) and 0.96" (128x64) form factors. High contrast, wide viewing angle, and low power consumption. Compatible boards use STEMMA QT, Qwiic, or bare header connections. Palpable probes controller signatures where supported. Panel resolution comes from the selected module configuration; the controller signature does not distinguish 128x32 from 128x64 glass.
Facts
Tested
We connected it to a Raspberry Pi, read it over its real connection, checked that it gives accurate readings through Palpable, and signed it off.
I2C address
The SSD1306 OLED Display Family answers at I2C address 0x3C. A jumper or pin moves it to 0x3D.
